Default would it be better to replace my t28 with a t3?

i have it on a b18b and it spools really quickly and pulls pretty hard. i just wanna know if its worth it.my top end sucks and my friend has a t3 with manifold for sale.
im not very smart when it comes to turbo but isnt the t28 a t25/t3 hybrid? if it is, wouldnt it spool alot better than a straight t3?
