hydrolocked teggy
OK, well my teggy is hydrolocked and my insurance is getting me a new block, crankshaft, pistons, connecting rods, oilpan, bearings and gaskets. I was going over a puddle about 4 inches high doing about 10km/h but my fender liner is fucked so thats whats worse. What kind of chance is it that the head on my engine is fucked?
i cant wait for a new head already...i mean they had my car for 8 weeks already its insane. they sendin the head to a machine shop to check if its good but honda said they checked and it physically looks fine so yea
yea my insurance was payin honda 4100 CDN for all the internals n ****...so i was like hmmm give me the 4100 and ill buy my own engine which is a type r ...and she was like no i cant do that....if u do that i can only give u 1700 ....saying how she doesnt want people to benefit from autopac n ****

^^hahah reminds me of when i was wiht my friend at a caddy dealership while he was training.. brand new escalade hydrolocked. yeah a couple pistons were gone. thing was a mess.. and warrenty wasn't covering it either cuz they determined that in order for water to enter the escalade's intake he had to have been abusing the thing.. so yeha $10k repair right there.
i think hydrolock would be covered under comprehension?

when my brother hydrolocked my b18c1, the head was fine. The con rods and sleeves on the other hand were fvcked beyond belief. We didn't claim it under insurance, picked up a type-r block and milled the gsr head/block just incase it warped even a fraction..
The only way to see if the head is fucked is to pull it and check it out.

danm man sorry again to hear that. hope you get it fixed soon. just a thought but, maybe you should go down to autopac and talk to them in person ratter then on the phone... you may get more money if you wanted to do a swap your self. worth a try i guess.
anyways hope it all works out in the end for you

State farm covered my hydrolocked civic motor. However they called it a "collision with water" and put the damage against my collision insurance. They were also going to raise my premium so I said nevermind I will just not claim it.
