What are the chances that the head is still ok??

just bought a 89 hatch w/ a hole in the block....I have a spare block, but not a head....just curious what you think the head's chances for survival are?

 

Ewww doesn't sound good, chances of the head being good are slim to none. But you can't be positive until you yank the head off. Just spend 10-15 minutes pulling the head and you'll have a definitive answer... good luck.

the head may require some resurfacing and if the head is coming off, don't forget to take it off @ Honda specs or else you will warp the head.
