more boost when e-cutout is open....normal?

Default more boost when e-cutout is open....normal?

well when im running stock exhaust i only see about 5.5-6 psi of boost. but i noticed when its open i see 7.5-8lbs of boost. is it normal for the boost to go up like that? thanks

yea open downpipe will do that,. I was hitting like 8psi and when I ran open downpipe I was hitting almost 11 that bitch ran its *** off, wasn't so smooth downlow anymore but when it hit it HIT. Can't wait to A. Get the car running again B. Get that motor built

Dude i hella want a E cut out!!! Imma be running 3 inch DP and a e cut out with a stock exhaust.. how the hell would that work though? Going from 3 inch to stock exhaust and adding a e cut inbetween???? Sorry for thread jacking

If you put the cutout in the stock sized portion of the exhaust, it will be like having the cutout the same size as the exhaust. Best bet is to run exhaust that is the same size as the cutout to that point. Otherwise it's just one compromise for another

haha ya with it open its crazy. i usually dont loose traction if i just throw it into second then floor it, but with it open it looses grip at like 6k. i love it. going to the track saturday. hopin for low 13's

I think ur thinking of it the wrong way tho, when running he E cut out, it is usually to have a open down pipe. For example with the cut out closed it will run through the stock exhaust system, but with the e cut out open it will just dump it right out of the cut out....

Right. It is best there, but they can be moved further away if this person is wanting to go sleeper style on the exhaust from the catalytic converter back.

well if you get the electric one which opens and closes with push of a button like i have. you can have stock exh daily and open it up when needed.

btw best to put it as close to the motor not all the way back next to the muffla, that would defeat the purpose of having it in the first place.
