is it normal that when I start my engine the pressure jump to 80 psi ?

Maybe because my oil is cold...

ok i was just making sure, but would you still recomend a restrictor. the only thing im conserned about is that sometime the oil psi will get down to 15 at times.

Honda engines run aboit 10 psi oil pressure on idle
and they need to see around 50 psi around 3k rpms
all engines i have seen for honda follow this rule

and btw, oil pressure is high when engine is cold and oil is cold

once it gets a lil warmer and softer, it looses pressure..
plus, oil pumps are supposed to be opening their releif valves around 75-80 psi anyhow..........

when i first start my car when its cold itll stay at around 80psi. then when it warms up fully ill have about 25psi at idle(900rpm) and it will go up to about 83psi then the valve will open and it will fall back to about 78psi and stay there until vtec where it falls ~10psi instantaneously. it will also climb maybe 1 or 2psi per 1000rpm all the way to redline.

my oil pressure line is T'd off my ls/vtec line also
