Simple Deck install. question...
Car= 1991 Acura Integra
Deck= Jensen CD3010X
Problem= The deck doesn't seem to be getting power. Other than the speaker wires coming out of the decks harnnes, I have a red wire connected to my 12v power wire, the black wire connected to the black ground wire and the B+ Battery wire connected to the B+ battery wire comming from the car.
Initally I had just connected the power and the ground and nothing happened. I then connected the B Battery wire and the deck now makes a noise as though its ejecting a CD. But thats it, the deck won't turn on and shows no other signs of life.
I have check every single fuze on the car and nothing is blown. The fuze on the back of the deck is not blown. I've also tried every combination possible with the 3 wires comming from the deck and the 3 wires (power, ground and B Battery) comming from the car. So far nothing is working.
What did I miss? This isn't my first install and this problem is frustrating me.

So, how would I check to see if the deck works? The deck used to belong to my roomate who says it worked when he took it out of his last car. Its only been out of a car for a little over a year.

if all fuses are good what you might want to try is a new ground. that cd eject sound means you have 12volts running to the head unit.. the most common reason they dont turn on is a bad factory ground. just strip the wire back a little bit and hold it to the ingnition cylinder.. if it doesnt turn on then.. your head unit is most likely shot.

you get nothing if the ground is bad, the only way you have any kind of movement/noise/lights or anything is from a power PLUS a ground, a power alone does diddly, it's a circuit loop and if it's incomplete you get, like i said, diddly. a common problem when hooking up this to that, unplugging it, hooking up somehting else, unplugging it, etc. is you can blow a fuse, check your interior 12v fuse in the fuse box (should be a 15) if it's blown you have a simple fix.. also another thing on some older hondas that i've notice is that there's a weird way you need to connect the wires, i think it was battery and the accessory connected together and then to the ignition and nothing is connected to the actual 12v wire coming from the car.. try it, might work

I hear ya, and yes it is a piece. But its free and going into a car I plan on selling, that makes it perfect. so there!
Thanks to everyone else. I just ran an new power wire to the 15a fuse marked radio. This seems to work. Again, I'll be selling this car, not setting it up to be a show stopper.
