why does my deck lose settings?

Default why does my deck lose settings?

every time i turn my car on i have to reset my settings on my deck, and my clock starts back at 1....how do i fix this???

did the deck turns on even the keys off? if it does, that's simple. check your wirings if you connect the yellow wire for acc maybe you put it all to the red wire( positive ) put the yellow wire from your hu it has label on it (ACC) on the yellow wire not on the red one

If your wires are properly connected, you may have a blown fuse for the constant power (yellow) wire.

the deck doesnt come on when my keys are off, and i have checked all the fuses....when i said clock im talkin bout the clock on my dash not the deck, so that seem wierd to me

You have the yellow wire from your deck connected with the positive in the deck, which are both connected tothe power from the car.

Your ACC and 12V+ wires are reversed. Switch them around. If he had a blown fuse/no constant, etc the deck wouldn't turn on. The described symtoms indicate *only* what I said. That, or a bitched head unit.

And if your dash clock isn't working...you caused other problems and should have had a professional install it for you.

i hate the damn wires in my car. my hatch was made in canada and the colors of the wries are weird, i know the white/blue wire is either the constant or the switch...i guess it will just be trial and error til everything works

thanks man, looks like i have the ignition wire mixed up but the battery wire is right, cool, i hope my clock will start workin now
