Speedometer help...
My brother is stupid and left his lights on and drained the battery.. Well I guess when he went out and tried to start it up, the speedometer needle shot all the way around and now is almost pointing straight down, and doesn't move. I am trying to get to the cluster, but I can not find exactly where the screws are to get to it.. I see there are two screws on the top of the dash cluster, got them out, but the cluster is still in there. Any ideas? its a 1990 accord (automatic) By the way, we since then have jumped it, and it runs, its just the speedometer is still "broke"
The entire gauge bezel needs to come out..there are screws behind the vents, near the radio..behind the ash tray..find all those and remove the outer bezel and then you will see the screws to get the gauge cluster out..
finally got the whole speedometer out, any the needle doesn't move freely.. besides going to the junkyard and getting a new speedometer, any idea how to "move" the needle?
-update-
Got the needle back to where it should be, now just gotta hook this all back up... thanks
