how to?
Check out k-series.com.
Instructions are probably on here too, somewhere, but you'd have to search to find them.
Basics:
Screw off shift **** after you pull down the shift boot. With **** off, push boot "in" and pull the lower console piece off using that area/the boot.
Be careful not to bend that lower console piece as its' easy to do. Once that is off, you'll figure the rest out (just some screws).

More details:
1. grab the little chrome collar under the shift ****, and pull firmly downward.. .it will un clip.
2. Unscrew the shift ****
3. Push your hands into the rubber shift boot, and grab the console with your hands on the inside by hooking your fingers into the orifice.
4. Pull firmly straight out.
The first time you do this, it can be very difficult, and you run the risk of breaking something. I had no problems getting the bottom to unhook, but I the top clips were really stuck in there, so I reached up from behind and pushed the blank button out.
This gave me another point to insert a finger and tug from. After you've done it once it will be easier to pull out... all the clips are pressure clips, not the kind that snap off, but the console itself can bend and crack if you pull too hard at an angle.
Dont Pry with a screwdriver! This is a special bio-degradable plastic that will damage easily!
