Boosted R with a Hondata or an AEM EMS??
I have a 2000 Integra Type R with a Rev Hard Turbo kit. Everything else is stock. I will be doing these mods shortly.
Thermal 3" Exhaust
High Flow Catalytic Converter
Custom 3" Downpipe
550cc Injectors
AEM Fuel Rail
AEM Fuel Pressure Regulator
Dyno Tuning
Greddy Profec Boost Controller
Having a High/Low Boost seting of 6 psi (daily driving) and 10 psi (race applications)
AND EITHER --> a Hondata s200b or an AEM EMS
My tuner mainly uses AEM and is very good with it. However, they have tuned with tuned with many other systems just not Hondata. I have talked to people with the hondata and they love it. I am hoping that my car with idle as close to stock as possible and that it will drive like (or similar to) a factory installed turbo. Can i do this with the AEM and which system should I go with?

Sounds like you answered your own question. Unless you have access to a well seasoned Hondata tuner, I would agree with the other two and get AEM. Good luck.

I'm not a fair person to ask because I am partial to Hondata. I was recommending AEM based SOLELY on the fact that his tuner is experienced with it and not Hondata. I still prefer Hondata over AEM, but again, that is just a biased opinion.

either system can be used to properly tune your car. properly tuned you shouldnt be able to tell which system the car has installed. its ALL about the tuner and what he is familar with.
I see you post alot about this. I would just go with the AEm only because your tuner has used it before and they should know what there doing.
