what is the upper nipple go to?
and what is the thing on the bottom of the TB?
(in an auto there is a IACV there)

It looks like you have it upside down and it looks like the "bottom" piece is a Idle control. The nipple though i have no clue what it is for.

 

looks like my JDM TB
it just has an extra thingy on it as well?

it doesn't look upside down to me....
the idle adjustment screw is at the top and the throttle rotor is facing to the right...
just like how you would see if it was still on the car...

the bottom piece is the FITV, the bottom nipple goes to the IAC and if there is so where to put the upper nipple then put a small hose on it and clog it with a screw so it doesnt leak.

 

I believe that top nipple should run to your charcoal canister.

At least that's where it runs to on mine.

Also, the Idle Air Control Valve is on the back of your intake manifold.

thats a bad picture for what im trying to do
basically I did an auto to manual swap...
i have a 5 speed IM and the 2 wire IACV, which goes on the manifold itself, but i only have a auto throttle body....
i was hoping to just block off the area where the auto IACV goes.. but after looking at some pictures... it looks like there is two nipples running on the TB.... i'm wondering where those go.

 

yep it goes to the charcol canister which has three tube nipples if you have a gsr with a three way canister. one from the evap purge valve and the other from that top nipple. then there's one that goes back to the fuel tank from the canister.

 

as stated fitv or fast idle thermal valve. i had that tb on my jdm gsr and the fitv was screwed up so my car at idle would bounce from 1000rpm to 2000rpm. so i replaced it with an itr tb

It is for a firewall mounted map sensor...

Exactly.

 

lets see if the diagram pulls up. if so look at the diagram the top nipple goes to the charcoal canister and the other from the evap purge valve. the one you don't see behind the two way valve is a return line back to your fuel tank. the middle nipple goes to your idle air control valve(iav) and the bottom is your fast idle thermal. hope this clears some stuff up...

I guess it depends what the application is. The JDM TBs have a nipple there that leads to the firewall (on the fuel filter, more specifically) mounted MAP. If the MAP is on the TB itself, chances are it goes to the charcoal canister, like in your schamatic. Either way, its just a vacuum nipple.
