is gettin a chip worth it?
Are you getting a custom chip burnt or using some SPOON/MUGEN/SKUNK2/ETC program? chips are pointless, unless its burnt specifically for your car. what you should do is search the archives and read up alittle. especially about revving your engine to 8500 rpms.
Not if you have a stock motor. If your rev to 8400 on your stock motor, you wont get any power, and your going to be floating your valves and you could seriously damage your motor. My suggestion is to acctually do some modifications to your motor so you CAN rev out to 8400 and make power.
IE skunk2 stage 2 or 3 cams, valvesprings and retainers so you dont wreck your valvetrain, and some type s pistons for more power. After that, you might acctually make power to 7800rpms, which then you can get a chip to raise the rev limiter. BUT after you spen that kinda of money, you might just want to get a stand alone or Hondata so you can have your car tuned correctly.
There is a conversation on the same page abotu this very same subject, why dont your read that...
