You need to go to a dyno first. that will tell you where you make your power. If you have stock valvetrane, you probably won't benefit from revving higher. To change it, you need a vafc or chipped ecu.

Just leave it alone. That's something to many people think is a good thing. "hmmmmm I'm gonna rev to 9000 rpm cause I'll go faster" BULLSHIT! First you DON'T WANT to have to rev the **** outta the engine to make power. Second, unless your engine is built you WON'T MAKE power that high. Third, high rpms kill engines. And last, you will most likely drop outta your power band if you rev high as **** once you shift.

Just leave it the **** alone. Oh and unless you have uberdata or hondata or a ECU chip, you CAN'T change the stock rev limiter.

VAFC's don't allow you to change your rev limiter. Otherwise my friend with a turbo GSR in his coupe would be reving to 9k right now.

It's not even about the bottom end. He's more likely to float a valve than he is to throw a rod through the block. But even that isn't my point. It's the fact that reving and engine sky high WON'T make you go faster. If anything it will slow you down. No there are a couple exceptions. One being the spoon engine. That thing can and does rev to 10,000; BUT! they still make power up that high. And plus they are built to be put in race cars that are on tracks that require high revs.

Anyways, just leave it alone until you have reason enough to need to raise the rev limiter.

You want to rev high and make power, get cams, valve springs, retainers, and a chipped ecu. with all those parts, you can make power up top.
