Subwoofer won't work
Well today I went out and bought an Alpine Type S 10" sub and an Alpine MRD M300 amp. The Amp has power, but the subwoofer won't work. Any Ideas? It's a Dual Voice Coil subwoofer if that helps.
Yea, the RCA's are plugged in. I'm not positive if I've wired up the sub correctly... Also, I've been searching around and I"ve just found out that the ground wire has to be an 8 gauge but I've got a 10 gauge. Think that has to be the problem?
BTW: The new South Park is HILARIOUS!

you have to make a circular loop with the wiring on a DVC sub...
Lets say on one subwoofer:
SIDE A has connectors - +
SIDE B has connectors + -
The box has one connector - +
With one speaker wire connect Side A + directly to Side B -
Then one speaker wire from Side A - to the box connector -
Then one speaker wire from Side B + to the box connector +
Now repeat the process for the second sub...
If youre not too good with + and - the positive is always RED and the negitive is BLACK
You just looped it....Thats one of the proper and EASIEST ways to do it...

I've only got one sub though... so would I have to wire up the single sub the same way??

yeah thats directions for doing them one at a time. You just repeat it if you have more than one sub. Because one sub should have two sets of connections, One set is Side A and the other set is Side B in the description i gave you...
That link above me to the rockford site, check out wiring Diagram 2, thats what i was explaining, but usually the + & - are opposite of each other to make it easier...
Just take your time and check your connections... You'll be fine. Just post up or PM me if you have anymore questions
