sorry its so much to read but please help me:-/

well if anyone remembers my recent problems ab out my oil light stayin on and my oil pump bad.....well we put a new oil pump in and it drove for at least 50 miles without the oil light coming on and this morning i go to start the car and the oil light pops on but its got oil idk if its because of the sludge in the motor or what.....SO anyways i get driving it a little later and it starts to stall on me a few times while im heading home but i drop it into second and let it start itself and it will pute a little bit after and then it will be fine then when you let it idle it dies down. Then going to pull into my driveway it stalls and it wont start i get it in the driveway and try to start it again and the engine turns over but while it does this it makes a squelling noise its nothing under the hood but the motor itself. once you get it started and idles the motor makes a knocking noise and it progresses as you increase the throttle.

 

sounds like oil starvation of bearings. mostly likely spun and destroy rod/main bearings. check to see if metal shavings in oil pan. better drop oil pan and look at the bearings.

 

Sounds like a rebuild is in order. You probably have some "issues" in the crankcase area. That will cause the knocking you speak of. Has the head gasket ever gone on the car? If yes I would definitely rebuild. You may just have clogged oil orifices in the motor. I would first try some premium gas for once, oil treatment and some fuel injector cleaner. If you can't reduce the problem with chemical treatments then you really have no choice but to pull the whole thing apart. Have fun and let me know what happens from here... HAPPY TUNING!!!

 

i dont even know if its worth all that work again....last weekend we pulled the AC PS Cruise control a engine mount , timing belt, and oil pan and oil pump. thats just to much work to redo but more this time for a motor with 191k on it i think i should just buy a new motor cuz im already tired of messing with this one:-/
