Hey.. I been noticing that when I start my car, the oil light stay on for 2 or 3 seconds and then turn off.. but is happening when the car is cold... if I start the car when hot, the light turn off immediately... I'm using mobil 1 10w-30 full synthetic with a blue oem filter... is this normal?? should I replace the oil pump??

OP, you're burning oil and oil level is low.

its normal if u don't have a Fast idle valve .. mine does it when its cold or first start up it will flicker a few times and once oil pressure builds it goes away. when warm I never see it. check to see if ur alil low on oil. it will stay on alil longer (when it flickers)when u start to get alil low on oil when its cold

I don't think it should ever be considered normal for the oil pressure light to stay on or flicker.

when starting slow revolutions will cause it to flicker for a second. i don't have a fitv so mine only revs to 1k and when it barely starts it flickers and goes away when the idle is stable. that light only comes on when oil pressure drops below 3psi. by then u would know if u have a problem.
