Default Civic ECU Swap

Was swapping my ECU today. Just thought id take pictures and let you know how i did this. If this helps then great, if it dosent then thats cool too

95 Civic EX D16Z6

1. Get one

2. Disconnect the battery negative cable, then posotive cable.

3. The ECU is located on the passenger side, under the kick panel on the right side. Remove the carpeting from this area and place it out of your way.

4. Unscrew the four nuts holding each corner of the ECU to the kickplate and remove ECU. Little tip for your comfort: I used a socket wrench with an extension, made it easier for me to get the back nuts.

5. Unplug the electrical connectors (3) from the underside of the ECU. There is a little lock tab on each of the 3 connectors which must be unlocked before removing as you see below.

6. Plug the new ECU in, retaining the same order and position as original. Make sure to secure connectors with the lock tab.

\

7. Crank the nuts back down, resnap your rugs, and reconnect the battery and you should be go to go! (if your anti-theft has an activation code, get that before you do any of this).

Once again this is how I did it, and if you see any errors, something i happened to leave out, or something youd like to add, post it, thanks. Hope this helps out a bit!
