Default JDM LSD.

Hi,

A friend of mine has a European Spec Civic Type R EP3.

We are going to try and install a JDM LSD as found in the JDM EP3 gearbox.

Do you think we should find any problems in this please?

Will there have to be any other mods done to the gearbox of the european spec car ?

Regards,

Be sure to properly shim the LSD.. The are not "One size fits all" You could end up destroying your tranny, if it is allowed to "Float"

Also, how much will the part cost? Bacause the Quaife piece rocks!!! if the are anywhere near the same cost, choose the later.

Yes. I've just run into this problem earlier this today that the bolts that hold the ring gear to the diff, while long enough to engage the diff, are not as long as they should be in order to survive. The bolts need to be about 4mm longer (1/4")

Anyone know the part number for the bolts from the JDM model?
