The Good:

-car pulls strong
-getting to drive in wet, dry, snow, sleet in the matter of 3 days
-not hitting anything, not going off, and going sideways only a couple of times in the wet
-car l00ks legit with the sponsor graphics on
-V710s not separating on me
-having a good race with Evans
-taking pole for Honda Challenge on saturday
-getting the car semi-ready in time
-making the right tire choices throughout the weekend
-meeting new people and catching up with old friends
-getting the most applause during awards
-winning H1 both days

The bad:
-having 0 caster on right side (I guess I whacked that tire wall at VIR a bit hard)
-only 2.5 camber on front wheels (No clue what the problem is [left side])
-towing in 24 degree weather, during a blizzard and high winds, at night...eek!
-not being with the regulars at CMP
-still being way over minimum weight
-only being able to pass a couple AI cars
-not taking any pix

 

Doesn't sound to bad Matt, although I still think you should have come to CMP, you and James and the other Matt, Jason Meise as well.. Everyone still going to Midohio in August?

Hey...I was there doing HPDE in my Me-otter and taking pix for the racenasa.com web site. Which car was yours? I tried to get at least one picture of everyone, two of the Honda's.

Interesting/fun weekend...I was slower than I was last fall but then again I've barely driven the Miata the last three months.

Jason will be running the entire Honda Challenge season. We opted to wait until round 2 to come out so we could get the car 100%. We are assuming that the August Mid-Ohio event will count as an out-of-region race which will give us the 7 race weekends we need to have.

Hey matt, how did things go on sun. with the weather?....wish I could of stayed and raced, but it wouldn't have been as much fun pushing the car around the track ha ha. Got the car back to the shop, turns out the driveshaft broke the radias rod, or the radius rod broke, then broke my driveshaft.....not sure which order it happened yet. No control of the car at all after that happened. It was fun, can't wait for the next race. I'll have to keep myself busy in the miata with this long wait for the next HC race.
