Default clutch spings?

ok i was driving home, went to shift from 4th to 5th, clutch was extremely stiff on the pedal side.Wouldnt come out of 4th. So i stopped on the side of the road, wouldnt go in any gear. finally got it in 2nd, and drove home. Went for a test drive, it was ok at slow speeds but again wouldnt come out of 2nd. What do you think this could be?

Hey man, does the gear get COMPLETELY stuck in gear even when you push in the clutch?? Also, would you car drive like an auto tranny car when you came to a complete stop with the clutch pedal pushed all the way in??

I kind of have the same problem too when I drive in a hot weather or for a period of time, my clutch gets stiff and my needle just bounces and sometimes my car won't even go. Had the clutch and flywheel replaced a month ago. What could be the problem be? Could it be the master cylinder? Need help too.

yes, it is completly stuck in gear, if you try to push it out it grinds and wont let you out. No, it would die if the clutch wasnt in.

I had a very similar issue. It turned out to be a warped/bad clutch disk or a spring from the clutch disk popped out.

However, i did not have a VERY stiff clutch. To me, it doesn't sound like a bad clutch master or slave cylinder. It sounds more like a pressure plate issue.

Either way, I think it is time for a new clutch.

Good luck, man

i talked with a guy about fixing it, and he says there are 2 clutch cables and that one might be miss aligned, is there any truth to this?

that shouldn't change the feel of the clutch at all... Have someone step on the clutch pedal and see if the slave moves.... I have heard of the same problems with a popped spring. Did you hear any noise? Does it go into gear smoothly while the car is off??

The cables have nothing to do with the clutch pedal. The clutch is hydraulic.

The cables only deal with the actual changing of gears.

yes there are noises, sounds like washers are being thrown around sometimes when you move the shifter, And yes again, the clutch will engage will its not moving, or stopped. like, i can pull out but after 2nd (and sometimes not even that far) it doesnt do anything..
