bottom end build on b18b1 for turbo
I am looking for any suggestions on what I could do to my ls block to handle turbo while increasing hp. Heres what I came upon so far.
bore to 84.5 (roughly 1996cc) and honed
darton or golden eagle sleeves
aem bearings
endyne pistons
a good set rods
aebs or arp main and head studs
new water and oil pump
I really dont know what kind of pistons I would need if Im wanting to turbo especially with boring my cylinders walls, I know endyne pistons are a really good brand but should I keep stock compression? Oh and If I get a more displacement by boring does that mean I will raise my compression automatically or no?
Also, I need to know what are some good set of rods I could obtain for turbo, for you guys who have an ls that is turbo please give me some suggestions for my block, I am still learning this kinda stuff little by little.
Im not wanting to do anything to my head like the valve train cams or anything unless I want my motor to rev like crazy past 9K also Im not asking to get any more hp than 350 (250-350). Money isnt really a problem I usually pay a good price for some good quality brands. I just want my motor to be reliable and long lasting for daily driving but yet a killer in the streets on wknds. If anybody could give me more suggestions on my sofar setup, brands, recommendations or anything. thanks

well if you are only shooting for 250-300hp there is no need to sleeve the block it can hadle 400hp no problem and you can run a 81.5mm bore. I reccomend CP pistons and eagle rods. Its been a proven combo.
