Well its a free weight reduction and it allows for more free air flow

10lbs? you sure it's not a supra, oh, wait they don't have one

Just get a 30dollar shortram intake in ebay and swap a better filter there.

Its located on your passenger side wheel well. The easiest way to get out of it is to unbolt everything from the engine bay. Then go into your wheel well at the very bottom (by the bumper) and unbolt it, very easy and straight forward.

you will have slightly better throttle response if you remove the resonator, and yes, you will have a slightly louder noise coming from under the hood with this in place...

with my h22, i have actually noticed that the oem intake performs better than the $30 ebay intakes...just my .02...why replace it if it ain't broke...

Depends on the car, but on my 2003 i4 accord, I picked up 2.5 tenths at the dragstrip and 2.5 mph trap speed when I pulled out the intake resonator.

The only other difference between those two runs, I did have different wheels, but the total size was the same and the weight was only 3 lbs lighter.

On this car, without the resonator, the filter box is pulling air from infront of the wheel well/front bumper. I have driven around at night with this setup and the filter box gets pretty cold to the touch. The sound is quite nice also.
