test pipe
im new to the whole test pipe thing, and the car i just bought has one.
This means it has no cat? and is this why it is throwing a 45 cel? am i going to need an 02 sim to fix this, or put a cat back on it?
Thanks

test pipe is a straigh pipe that replace the oem cat.
code 45 i think(dont remember exactly) cat. not working/failing.
the chances are, you'll need a oem cat.
if you plan to keep the testpipe, get a o2 sim. or you can ghetto rag a resister to fool the o2 sensor, neither way the idea is the same-to fool the ecm think the cat is working fine.
I used to run one but the noise and smog sucked major ballz.
anyway, if you live in emssion controlled state, you DO NOT want to get caught with a test pipe or even a non-working cat, the ticket are up to 2000dollar last time i check and after all, we are all mother earth loving people right?
