It's a pain in the ***, i just did it myself. remove the intake manifold, then stuff some rags in the ports so none of the gasket gets in the engine. Now go buy a good gasket remover, spray it all down and let it sit about 10 minutes, and start peeling and scrapping the old gasket off with a putty knife, BE VERY CAREFUL not to damage the head with the putty knife. Some times the come off easy, and sometimes it's a pita. My last one involved a 10 year old oem gasket, and it took me 10 hours to get it all off. Then slap the new one on and re assemble.

exactly wut i do ... if the head was off the car it would be a lil easier .. be ready for back pain the next day lol
