Default Quiet Muffler for LS turbo civic?

So yeah, My civic is going to be a ultra sleeper and i want something thats really quiet, quiet enough so they can only hear the spool. I heard about the RSR mag but i was thinking about using an muffler from maybe another turbo car and weld it on.

Thats hella ghetto and its going to be very restrictive.......if u want quiet u might want to run 2.25 piping but u wont make as much power. I still have my 2.25 piping and now my car is quiet as hell till i really get on it....even then all u hear is the wastegate. I do plan on upgrading to 3" piping cuz the turbo quiets down exhausts anyway.

Not really ghetto unless it's installed with duct tape or something...

But mufflers on factory turbo cars are made for quietness, not all out power. If you want 3" there really is nothing to keep it quiet. Otherwise, 2.5" may be a little quieter. If you want to sacrifice a little power for quietness and still have a better muffler than one fom a factory turbo car, try a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler.

aite how about this. I dunno if magnaflow mufflers are quiet but i was thinking about getting mounting 2 mufflers. One to replace the cat and the other on the regular end. Think that would quiet things down a bit? pipping is going to be 2.5 inch

Thats what i did and it works great

2.5" cat to 2.5" x 22" resonator to a 2.5" oval muffler

PS and its all magnaflow

End result = quiet at idle. very deep cruising around. loud when i want it to be

You must have gotten the super duper Dynomax resonator, because mine did not quiet down at all after installing that. THey mainly filter higher frequencies, and as we all know, that's not a problem when using a decent muffler, hence, no change in sound.

I don't know about two mufflers .... honestly I doubt that will make much difference either. What it really boils down to is what you want more : more power or less noise. Pick one, do what you need to do, and enjoy it.

same here.
probably cheaper too than going out and buying a new cat back. If you piec it together yourself.

Check this one out by full race. probably big $$$

Its a butterfly valve that just lets your exhaust dump. Reducing back pressure because there is no pipes to run through.

Look at the link if you havent allready.

I have a 2.5 DP, 3" Cat, Mandral(sp) bent pipes with a 3" Magnaflow Oval. I'll be honest with you its not that loud at all. Infact I like the note comming from it. It sounds beefy

The turbo must really quiet the exhaust...

OPEN DOWNPIPE to 3" cutout. YO! haha that's what gets my vote.

Sounds great. Loud as F*ck...and best of all...no backpressure!
