Are the axles bad
All of a sudden today I am hearing a squeaking coming from the passenger side in the front. It's constant and not a clicking... almost sounds like something rubbing... Is this a sign of an axle that needs to be replaced?
if its a constant high pitch squeak could be your break pads. some pads have like a safety wear feature, when the pads get low a wire in the pad pops out and touches the rotor.
We've had this type of squeel a few times on our '92 Accord LX - came up suddenly and loud. It was caused by a stone that gets lodged somewhere between the brake caliper and disc. Always been able to dislodge it by turning the wheel back & forth and applying brakes. Scary as hell the first time .... now we know this will happen occasionaly with no problem dislodging it.

I have a 96 LX and alot of the time when its humid out (after or during rain) the front passenger side makes a sqealing noise and it keeps making it for a couple miles then it will stop and make the noise again about 20 miles later. I've had the pads replaced and the rotors checked and they dont know what the problem is. Anybody have any ideas? Basically the same story as his ^ but mine only happens when its damp out if that may provide some more clues.
