Is is true that jdm engines run rich? I've heard that they run higher octane, but never heard they run that rich, enough that will cause black spark plugs to occur. What do u guys think?

 

at WOT, the ECU will run rich anyway..JDM engines have a bit higher compression and i think higher octane gas as well..never been to japan, so cant confirm that.

 

My jdm motor in my integra runs just fine .. not rich at all .

where are you getting this?

jdm engines dont run rich. its all mental.

hey i'm just trying to confirm wat someoone told me.. i didn't really believe the guy who gave me this information i just wanted to see wat u guys think that's all..

 

i know they run higher octane but i didn't believe their engine should run rich, it doesn't make sense for japan to have engines that run rich and have the sha-ken as well.
