OK..... I have ls/vtec motor swapped into my 96 civic hatchback. I am running an obd1 p72 ecu. When i start the car cold, the idle is extremely high. It is like 2500-3000. When i first swapped the motors, i had a cel for tps. I adjust it to like 4.85 volts (or .485). The range it can have is like 4.8-5 volts. Will that little voltage lower it? As the car warms, the idle comes down. In closed loop it runs fine no problems. It is just when im in open loop that the idle is high. It is like 750 in closed too.

could be MAP too...if voltage is low it wont throw a CEL

well the map senor on my friends 92 civic hatch went bad and his idle skyrocketed...check it

 

the other dude is right about the map. My map just went bad yesterday, it fuked everything over, the idle can be anything from 1200-3000, it fluctatues everytime I stop. Then my gas is going like crazy, 80km=half tank gone. Check the map
