i need to know if the vinyl/padding connected to the plastic removes from the lower
part of the dash. I need to swap out only the top of the dash not the whole thing.

I've removed my dash a few times before, it's a hell of a lot easier to just remove the whole damn thing, plus it gives you the opportunity to get some cleaning done that you otherwise wouldn't be able to get to.

 

Once you learn how to remove the dash the first time, It just gets easier and easier the next time
