readiness codes wont set with obd2 inspection, help!!!!
im a tech at a honda dealership and a kid with a 97 civic ex with a greddy turbo kit came in and said his car would not pass obd inspeciton for some reason, i checked for codes and no codes i check the readiness codes and the evap and o2 sensor and cat codes havent set , so i cleared the ecu and drove it , damn car still will set all but the above mentioned, help please i called greddy 4 times today, one time they hung up on me and the other three i was on death hold , im sorry i will never buy anything greddy if thats how they treat thieir custmers. so im asking for some help from hondatech for a honda tech. thanks guys for your time
yeah he drove it like 835 miles in about 2weeks and today he came back about the inspection problem, but usually we can drive a honda for bout five or ten miles and it will usually set the readiness codes, so i dont know why the codes hasnt set
Blue box. The readiness codes are random. Can go off in 5 miles or 150 miles. Only thing I would suggest is taking all turbo stuff off and get it tested. In texas 3 or more not readys equal failed. I would try priming the fuel pump a couple of times and see if it gets rid of the evap.
