b18c1, b16 tranny, b16 mugen ecu obd 0, whats my red line?
my swap is being in progress, like topic says, into my crx. how ever i dont know what the red line leve will be because i'm keeping my stock speed/tac meter on my car, and i believe it red lines at 7.5k or something like that. help ..
what does keeping your stock tach/speedometer have to do with a redline...the gauges tell you what the car does...not the other way around. B16 from what i have hear range from 7500-8500 depending on mods...check the mugen specs ont he ecu to see what it sets your rev limiter at or do a search for the mods you have listed and see what kinda redlines people are posting.
okay bro
u really got to be NeW... to ask this
stock Pr3/Pw0 ecu's redline is 8200rpm's
vtec kick is about 4300rpm
but if u got mugen like myself and other dude's up in herre
there is two different type of programs
US is 4500 vtec, 9500 redline
JDM is 5700 vtec, 9500 redline
and they both run rich *** ****!!!!
that is way I am getting rid of mine
and going Hondata
hope this helps

its not a good idea to rev it beyond what the stock ecu limtis are. i think redline is 7800 on the gsr, i would keep it at that before you blow your motor
b18c1 redlines at 8k(stock vavletrain)... i've taken mine to around 8500 before but i dont trust it enough to do that everytime i am gunning it.. i have type r cams with stock gsr vavletrain... i'm also using a autometer tach stock tach is a little off...

Redline for a B18C1 is 8000 RPM and fuel cut is 8200. VTEC engages at 4400 RPM and the intake manifold switches runners at 5800 RPM.
Regardless of what ECU program you have, if your engine does not have any valvetrain modifications done, do NOT rev it above 8200 or you WILL risk floating a valve into a piston, and your engine will destroy itself from the inside out. Best case scenario, you will bend several valves and they will need to be replaced. Worst case scenario, all of the internals will disintegrate and the block and head will be unsalvageable.
Now, if your engine has upgraded cams, valve springs, and retainers to handle 9500 RPM, then by all means rev away.
All CRXes have a tach that reads up to 8000 RPM, regardless of the redline (5000 RPM for HF, 6500 RPM for DX/Si). Just shift when the needle hits the "8."
