Comptech Icebox - where does the rubber nozzle go?
I have the Comptech Icebox and there is a rubber nozzle that goes under the filter and directs the air directly into the filter. I removed the nozzle and would imagine it would cause more air flow. Any thoughts? I am just paranoid that it would be risky for whatever reason.

for what its worth...mine never came with that rubber piece. but i really dont think it is necessary. the filter is perforated throughout the circumference, so you really dont need to "direct the air" to any particular spot.
Same here .....mine did not come with the "nozzle"

I agree
That's not where that piece goes. That rubber acoridan connection is to connect the filter to the intake arm. You need it to connect the comptech air filter to the comptech intake arm.
LOL, that doesn't go there...it gives flexibility for the Comptech short ram. I have it on my R even though I am using the stock intake arm as well...it can't hurt, but if you don't need it to attach the box to the arm, then by all means, don' t worry about it.

on DC2s you can reuse your stock intake arm but for an Ek you have to buy their intake arm along with the box for correct fitment...so for some its bling, for others its a necessity
My car came with a AEM CAI so I went ahead and bought the Comptech arm when I took off the AEM. I like it but your right it is a bling mod. It looks go with my blingin spoon valve cover.

nah thats ok..
The iceman design (LS integra arm) is a lot better than the oem ITR intake arm. Its way smooth on the inside and it has a tapered design which is good for air velocity. the ITR arm doesnt reflect this and the rubber hosing isn't good for heat disipation compared to the icemun.
