That's on my girlfriend's CRX, but neither of mine have that piece of trim. I don't know if it was stock, an option, or aftermarket.

Mine came with it, and it looked factory. I took it off, however, as it looks like water can stay underneth it and cause rusting.

We've had it on 4 of the 6 of the hatches we've had but none on the couple rexes we've had. I believe it was a dealer item since all of them didn't have it and I barely see it on any hatches when I'm out.

It was a dealer installed option. In fact, most hondas (and acuras) still have this crap as a dealer option. Just another way for them to get money out of dumb people.
