Default Removing mud flaps....

I took all four of the mud flaps off, but it seems like the body (rear bumper) is flimsy without them bolted on, especially in the rear. One thing i was thinking of doing would be to cut away the mud flaps that stuck out from the body and leave that part that fit the curve of the wheel wheel bolted on without any extra mud flap hanging out/down.

So its either leave them off completely or cut them down and have them be a little more aerodynamic. Suggestions? Do integras that never came with mud flaps have flimsy bumpers as well??

There should be no reason for the mudflaps to make any big difference in stability of the bumper. Is the bumper mounted correctly?

Did you reinstall the bolts back?

well, in the rear it connects the inner side of the wheel well to the exterior side of the wheel well (if that makes sense)...But yea, i'm pretty sure there was a plastic piece missing in the rear that goes under the mud flap that goes along the wheel well.

anyways, i just finished cutting off the excess plastic with an exacto knife and bolted the modified mud flap on. Problem solved. The front ones were just removed completely.

Now i just need a drop lol

yea i figured out what the problem was in the rear...the plastic that "lines" the wheel well was missing, and i was unaware there was supposed to be something there. sooooo to replace that plastic piece missing i had to remove and modify the rear mud flaps only and bolt these "cut down" mud flaps to replace the plastic lining.

In the front, yea i just took them off and put the 3 screws back in to hold the plastic lining in place.

problem already solved.
