Hey HT members

I plan on painting my 94 LS soon and would like some opinions on the color to go with, also more importantly how to get a awesome shine with the color, should i do some kind of flake ( gold, silver) , or some kind of pearl, Suggestions?

also if you have any other pics of other colors of blue please post.

HEY A PAINT THREAD!!! hardly any of these

id say SSPB!!

 

SSBP is purple dammit

 

there is a paint that doesn't have the pearl which there's no purple from what i hear, it's the pearl that makes the color change to reflect a purple look, correct me if im wrong, Yes there isn't alot of paint treads, anyone know how to get the best shine, i.e more hardener then normal, lots of clear coat, any other way??? undercoat of a metallic flake??

SSBP = Blue with purple flakes. Trust me, I have seen it happen all the damn time. Let me fish out a pic for you, in the right light it is unmistakeably purple.

Tell me that doesn't look purple to you.

 

gts blue helps accent bodylines both good and bad. now if you have a clean car it wont accent too much and almost looks more plain but with a wild kit or widebody it will really show well. also if you have dents or whatever they show more. if ur not sure ur car is perfectly straight you may want voltage blue. supersonic is darker and wont show everything but still looks sick with the pearl it has.

Yeah, SSBP definitely looks purple in certain light, but still sweet.

I voted for Voltage blue because it's the rarest.

i agree with ebelp...ssbp is a very nice oem color, but id go for voltage blue chuz its rare...and it reminds me of captiva blue pearl in a way heh...so i vote for voltage blue as well

 

i agree, anyone know if you can get the SSPB without the purple effect.

 

What about Blue ridge Pearl from the 2.5RS impreza's? Or Laguna Seca blue?

u can get ssbp any way u want just dont add in as much pearl. even better use a differant color pearl rather than whatever turns it purple. if u arent mixing the paint have the store mix it how u want it based off ssbp.

this is my car and its painted electron blue like the civic si blue
looks good but ssbp is also good
