Just finished putting back on my d16z6 head after replacing ALL the valves in it cause they all were bent when the timing jumped. Put everything bac together and started the car, it idles all weird and bogs down and dies if i dont push the gas. Also my check engine light is on the dash. This NEVER was on before the head was pulled off and the valves were replaced and head put back on. The check engine light never came on before. I am running the HF ecu. ANYONE please help. what can i check or look for. Why is it dying if i dont push the gas.

PS. Feels like VTEC is always engaged but vtec isn't even hooked up....doesn't have power

are you sure everything was put back correctly?did you miss any wires/grounds

 

SOLVED....the ECU was throwing CEL 5 ...MAP sensor..changed it out and now its perrrrfeeeect...thanks
