since it's a VX i'd look into a mini-me turbo. thats why i asked what model you have since you are working on a limited budget.

3 grand? If I built an Lsvtec turbo it would cost at least 10. Then again I'm extremely **** about things.

swap the head from the D16Z6 or D16Y8. then get you a turbo kit if your not piecing one togehter. greddy turbo kit can be had for around $1500 w/o inter cooler.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by michaelOlson &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

the LSVTEC was assembled because a B18C1, and B18C5 were far more expensive, and more power then the C1 but less than a C5 could be obtained from this combo for the same price or less than a B16. this was simply an unmodified B18A/B short block, matted with an un modiffied B16A head.

now days people are going boo coo crazy building LSVTECand spending boo coo cash, when if you think about it you can bore and stroke any B18C block and get more or the same power.

if you are going to be **** about things why not do it the right way, and keep VTEC blocks with VTEC heads.

LSVTEC was an economy inteded build, as with the MINI me. people who are looking to save cahs and gain respectable power at the same time. people who aren't really looking to pinch every penny aren't doing LSVTEC, or MINI me

i could have had a stock or built LSVTEC 6 months ago, but im not trying to save cash, or cut corners. im building a used 98 B18C1 block up, with a new 00 B18C5 head. 85.5 resleeved not stroked. with 9:1 compression ratio. and picking up where honda left off on the head.
