Default B20 vtec

Anyone give me any pointers in regards to installing a B20 vtec into my 88 crx Si? Where does everyone recommend getting one put together? Thanks in advance.

I would recommend using the Search feature in the upper right corner of the screen. It will answer all of your questions.

you can put one together yourself without a problem, you just need to use the proper parts.

-JE pistons
-Eagle rods
-Honda gaskets
-b16 head /P&P/milled
-typeR cams are nice
-HasPort motor mounts are nice

How in the hell are those the "right" parts. None of that has anything to do with making a b20vtec. BAN

just get info on it its not too hard just the oil line for the vtec and plug the orignal oil feed hole that's on the head since the b20 block dosnt have the hole for oil to go into and stiff liek ull need to shorten your shift linkage and get a hamer or sumpthin to put a dent on the inside of ur engen bay so the alternator will have the clearence it needs but go to hasport for mounts and a wiring harness they have shift linkage for it too

thats interesting because my b20vtec has all of that i supose you could use the stock b20 rods and pistons and rev to lilke 8500 tops, with no compression. but if you want the ***** to pull then.......

you cant be serious with the ban comment

edit: man i noticed i replyed a little late

depends on what you want to do with it, there are so many ways to build a honda motor, to many options in my opinion but that's what makes it nice.

basic rebuild
tranny
motor mounts
pick out your pistons depending on f/i or na
decide if your shot peening your rods or going with aftermarket
gonna have to replace your oil pump with one off of a gsr/type r/si
pick out your head
gonna have to run the oil lines
might want a girdle, endyn sells one decent price, and there nice
and any other stuff i missed theres a search key that will answer the rest.
dont skimp, if you do you might have to build it a second time.
have fun with it and let us know how it turns out
