i searched but i didnt find what i needed to know. I took my powersteering belt off today. now i know i have to cross something over. i want to take everything out except whats needed, so if i let some ps fluid out and connect the two lines from the pump, will that help on the wearing out part? if not, where/what do i need to do?

yes it will help.. you can connect them right at the rack though to make it cleaner and such.
