Default tried this in the civic forum, not much luck - perhaps someone in here???

I have recently put a z6 motor into my 89 civic si - i did the obd0-1 conversion etc etc. this is a totally rebuilt motor, and while i was at it i put in a comp cam and some crower valve springs. there is a loud ticking noise like the valves need adjusting - i'm sure everyone knows that sound. we have adjusted the valves four times in the process of trying to figure this out and every time the valves have stayed in alignment, but the ticking continues. does anyone have any ideas why my motor is still ticking so loud? this is not the normal honda ticking, it's much much louder.
