how streetable is an ACT 6 puck with ACT pressure plate?
Everybody has a different notion of what's streetable, but I'd tend toward something with a bit less bite, unless you do alot of dragging and little stop and go city driving. I've found the action segmented carbon/kevlar clutch setup to be a wonderful balance between drivability and performance.

, i got a 6puck, and if i had to do it all over again i prolly wouldnt. i would go with street/strip disc.

I agree...6 puck really suck in traffic I would stall every now and then when my foot got sore. There is a good point to this though, you build some muscle on the left leg

If you are open to other possible brands, here's my take on my clutch.
Its an Action Clutch (1MS Kit). Its a 6-puck clutch spung disk with a Single Heavy Duty Pressure Plate and i'm using the ACT Streetlite flywheel. The engagement on this clutch is similar to stock, i was surprised. Pedal pressure was only slight harder than stock. I do lots of stop and go driving and it doesn't "make my legs hurt."

i drive through traffic with a ACT 6 puck unsprung...and its ok. I had the street/strip disc before and would probably go back to it next time around. Dont get me wrong...its definitely a nice clutch to have when your on the gas hard everywhere....but when traffic time comes...its a whole other story. If your a daily commuter...6 puck is too much. I think a 6 puck sprung disc would be much better.
my sister car had an act 6puck with the heavy duty pressure plate and when we swapped her motor we realized that the clutch master cylinder was blown. ended up having to replace it and the clutch with a street/strip clutch and pressure plate that feels almost like stock and holds more than the power she will ever have. I think if you are making huge power fine use the 6puck but i think there are better options out there.
see my setup below.
I am running a ACT six puck with HD pressure plate and its okay for daily driving. I also agree with most folks....that is really does get annoying when I have to drive in stop & go traffic. Oher than that...its not that bad.

i had the insprung 6 puck from ACT and the ACT pressure plate for my DD and it was fine, yes it kind of sucked for stop and go stuff, but man did she grab. didnt last too long though, so i went with the street/strip disc, with the same PP this time round
i got the 6 puck w/ the xt pp, it works awesome
until i put about 1000 miles on it, and the hub on the clutch stripped and wrecked my input shaft
thats only after going to the track 3 times and about 12 runs, and driving to work, which is mostly highway
