Default How lite can a DA be?

I have a 91 DA, GS trim, with a b16a1. I am wanting to turbo it, so I am trying to start thinking in terms of power to weight. I am relatively confident that with the turbo, cams, and some good tuning I can get 220-230 whp. I really want to get under a 10 to 1 ratio for power to weight, so I am trying to figure out how much weight this pig can lose. I know that a DA starts out at 2560 curb weight. I have already pulled the p/s, washer fluid bottle and spritzers and spare and jack. I am planning on pulling the rear seat, all the plastic panels in the back, rear wiper, carpet, sound deadening and so on. Eventually I want put on RS doors and replace the leather front seats with fixed racing seats and harnesses.

I guess what I am really wondering, is how lite can these things go? Looking back on it, I should have started out with a Civic hatch, but now I am to far in to change. Does anyone know if I can get this car down to 2100-2200 lbs?

I appreciate any constructive advice about this matter. Thanks

I dunno exactly how much weight can be shaved off, but a few more suggestions on weight reduction are

The power seatbelts ( my friend took his out, told me they weight a ton), JDM front bumper support (weighs a LOT less than the stock hunk of metel), remove the sunroof and motor and i guess weld in a piece of metal to cover up where the sunroof was, carbon fiber rear hatch and FAL molded rear window and rear side windows, carbon fiber hood (if youre looking for the lightest, dont go with VIS , half sized radiator and fan ummm...shoot thats all i can think of at this moment...

It seriously depends on how crazy you wanna go. You can go as far as cutting out all the support beams inside your doors and crap, but youd probably die in a side impact accident.

take off ur dash n remove the heater core assemble...then put the dash back in as a hollow dash. so u dont get pulled over by cops...that n sound deadning...that saves u around 60-70lbs...

you can definately get it under 2200 pounds. i got my 94 ls integra (which is like 2640 stock) down to 2195. basically all i did was take out all the interior (left the sound deadening though), all that was left was a dash, driver seat, and shiftnob. and i took out the ac, power steering, cruise control, antenna and motor, rear wiper and motor and some other random stuff. i bet you could break 2000 if you were serious enough with it, good luck

a 91 ls is 2590 lbs stock.
i'm sure you can get it down to 2400 or even less if u remove all the interior and ac, ps , ect
