Default what is the swtich point on a stock 95 civic ex????

i just wanna know when the v tech kicks in on my car... its toatally stock... what rpm does it turn on .... thanks alot i really appreciate the help !@!!!!

don't regular d engines have vtec-e which doesn't really have a kick in?

vtec on a sohc is quite sneaky when it kicks in, if its all stock you probably wont even hear or tell the difference. now on a b-series there is a major change in tone and power. But all vtecs kick in at some point (crossover) some just more then others

thats a bit low for a P28 ECU. Try more like 4900 to 5200 RPM. Not to mention I definately wouldnt say sneaky. Mine breaks both front tires loose (LSD) when the crossover hits in first gear. As far as sneaky goes I would say the GSR crossover point is much more sneakier (much smoother transition, IMO)

nope. VTEC-E is a VTEC designed for emissions and gas mileage. The D16Z6 and the D16Y8 (EX/Si engines) engine have your normal VTEC except VTEC is only on the intake cam. Not on the exhaust cam like on B series.
