on a single cam it is only one side of the cam. not like the dohc. so it isnt as "audible" as the dual cam.

ya but on a completely stock car you should be able to hear the whine of vtec when it kicks in, i made a light that runs from the vtec solonoid to help me know when im in vtec! actually since i did a few more mods i can feel a little vtec and definently hear it.

Modify your airbox so the airfilter is exposed. You'll hear it. I know I do.

i had a greddy turbo/hondata. Redline was set at 8400rpms. When vtec kicked in at 4400rpms the turbo hit full 14psi and that was a vtec rush alll 229hp to the wheels

I could hear it fine when it was stock... and it was a noticalbe jump in power too...

once the intake/exhaust were on it was even more noticable...

but now with a header/cat it kinda evened the power curve up... so now I can barely feel or hear it... it feels like it's more of a steady climb in power now...

You can't feel it kick in as if a turbo just spooled up, but you can definitely tell the difference.
