Default Is my turbo still good???

Hi All, I had a little mishap with my new turbo.

In the midle of a pull the nut came off the end of the shaft and destroyed the impeller on the comressor side. Also, the impeller seems to have moved up the shaft and seized on the shaft around the top where the treads are.

Has anyone ever had this problem can the shaft be salvaged or do I need a new one???

I really pissed cause the guy I bought it from had apparently lossened this nut to which I was not aware. Now my turbo is fucked.

Please let me hear your sugestions..

Thanks,

Does anyone know the part number for the compressor wheel of a Merkur XR4Ti turbo. Any help would be much appreciated...

Most likely your shaft is gone. You can say good bye to your compressor. You have to do a total rebuild. If the nut was loosen from the beginning, your balance on the compressor & turbine is already off, which render your turbo useless.
