Default muffler suggestions!!!!

I apolpgize if this had been asked before.

I looking for a suggestion for a muffler for a custom exhaust system that I'm building. The car will have a test pipe on it followed immediately by the muffler. Then one bend to the right side of the car and exit just in front of the right rear tire. I want a muffler that has some good sound and is fairly loud, but not buzzy or ricey. The car isn't a daily driver so it doesn't need to be too quiet, but I don't want a loud straight pipe either. I just don't want a buzzy, sounding like a bumble-bee exhaust. You willn't even be able to see the muffler so it doesn't need to be chrome or anything.

Any suggestion?

P.S. Its going on a 89 Civic Si mini-me

Check and see if an Edelbrock RPM muffler will fit..
that or magnaflow makes a nice resonator that could possibly fit.

good luck!

Magnaflow has the more deeper tone to it than others out on the market right now, and the prices are very reasonable.

Why can't you use an ES with the WW kit? seems like it would fit. Just have it sit farther back to avoid burning the bumper.

ok man here is the 411 on this.... im doing the same setup right now!... look at summit part # WLK-24215.......... this is a DYNOMAX 4" round muffler... has 2.5" in and outs... 16" long overall... and "will" fit in the tunnel under the shifter... before or after the shifter...... the price is only $31.00 and if you go to an Advance Auto parts store and show them a printout of the part# and $$$ they will match the price.... save $20.00 there and get it overnight without no shipping!!! :-) i used to work there i know all the sneeky ****..... and you will only need one bend in the exhaust pipe too.... making this cheap install..... well under a 100.00 for everything....

warchild,

Is the dynomax really loud? I have run the car before with my catback disconnected. Just the header and cat and it was pretty damn loud. Will the dynomax quiet it down a good bit?

i have the apexi n1 as well. It's a nice muffler, except it gets loud after 2,500-3,000 rpm.
