Default Brake pads

My friend has a 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC and he just got brembo drilled and sloted front rotors. he is going to get new brake pads but what kind should he get what finish i dunno if thats the right term but he was talking about that they have different material pads, which ones are best and what brand too

you don't need anything to exotic if thats what you mean

theres

carbon based metalic (over kill???) top of the lines--if you got money to blow?? why not

bi-metalic (best choice) these are the mid-range ($30) ones good all around ones

organic (crappy cheapo's)

I am using Hawk+ pads on my 94 VTEC and from all the pads I've tried (EBC Green stuff, AXXIS Metal Master, and AEM) I like them the best. They do have occasional brake squeal.

peyvand, tell Aaron to get the Hawk pads...Deven uses those on his civic and they work extremely well...

Not to steal the thread but is there supposed to be 1 shim on the back of each pad? So a total of 4 shims. (front brakes)

Yes,
i just use ordinary carquest pads
