Default exhaust piping diameter

would a custom 2.5 inch be too big for a 6th gen accord? Ive searched already but havent found specific answers. I already have a straight thru aftermarket muffler . Any of you NA setups running 2.5?

did you read the official exhaust write-up (look in my sig)

2.5" is ok.....but its pushing it

decide for yourself what your plan is, and why your getting an exhaust system....for NA, go w/ a 2.25"-2.5" and ull be OK......for turbo, 2.5"-3.5" is a MUST....good luck and let us know

kteller.com for good priced piping

well i really dont plan on doing much with the stock f23, i just want to squeeze more power out of the exhaust system and i basically just have a aftermarket muffler with intake. Its not much louder then the stock muffler and i dont notice that much of a gain. As you said universal mufflers were made for custom exhaust setups. The car will be getting a h22 in the future but for now the most ill do is headers, carsound hi flow, and a resonator from kteller(14 or 22 not sure which will benifit more)
I am assuming if i stick with 2.25 mandrel, it will seek gains over the stock 2.25 piping

**feel free to correct me if i am wrong about anything

FYI, if ur gonna go H22, dont spend the money on F series headers headers, cause they wont work on H series engines......

exactly.. if your going h22 wait.. intake is bout all that will swap over..

dont waste your money, cause you wont be able to resell it for much..

save for the h22 and get ready for that!
