can someone tell me how to take my stock steering wheel off
I want to know if someone could help me or tell me how to take out my steering wheel of my 92 hatchback civic. I got no idea where the screws are or anything all I have done is disconect a yellow plug which I believe is to not make the air bag pop out? can someone help with instructions.
take all the extra stuff off of it.. like the cruise control buttons and theres a plate on the bottom of it.. theres screws under those to take off the cover for the airbag.. and then you can figure it from there you can see the hub.. i dunno exactly how to get it off but thats how you get to the hub.
first just pop off all the little covers on the bottom and the sides of the wheel. there the yellow plug which you said you unplugged, that's the airbag connector. make sure you've unhooked your battery and let it sit for 10 minutes before you do anything, airbags are dangerous. if it's like the EKs, there are two T30 torx screws you need to take off, one on either side..then the airbag comes off. don't forget to unhook the horn. after that it's like a 19mm nut and the wheel comes off.
hope this helps..if you search around there's lots of help on this.

hey thank you man, I 'll do that **** tomorrow, where can I get that thing to take the screws off because I see one of the screws but is not a flat or a phillip
don't try to remove the torx screws w/ phillips or straight blade..you NEED torx sockets. buy them at any tool store, and use a 1/4 inch or 3/8 ratchet w/ short extension..i used 1/4 inch w/ 3 inch extension.

you unplug the airbag connecter on the bottom if the wheel through the access cover.
