JDM EG gauge cluster dimmer????
Hi everyone!
I just installed my jdm EG 92-95 civic gauge cluster with the white face and red needles.. I don't seem to have the option of dimming it. Right now it a little hard to see at night. Is this normal? Doesn't seem to be bright enough! Anyone have this cluster in their civic?
Thnx!

Its not that bad. I just dim everything else down to match it hehe. I think by now, you've guessed that its common. Ever notice in Japanese EGs and DCs, they don't have dimmers? Well at least in all the ones I've seen, and in pics. Now for a question I have been wondering about the EG...why does my parking brake light come on when I turn my key to the start position?

I have a 1995 RHD SiR and the gauge cluster is very dim from the factory it was a big change from the bright gauge cluster in my old EX. If you want you can go to radio shack, buy a dimmer and make it bright as hell.

LOL.... heh
You can make the cluster dim with the stock adjuster or an aftermarket potentiometer, but you need to wire it up properly or pull the green circuit strip from a US cluster and still hook it up right in order for it to work. Not worth it IMO but it's do-able.
